Fast facts every NB learner should know

Approved driver education reduces Level 1 from 12 months to 8 months
If you complete a GNB-approved driver education program (like ours), you only need to hold your Level 1 learner's licence for 8 months instead of 12 before you can book a road test.
First Chance Discount: 3 years → 6 years of insurance experience
Approved driver education doubles your insurance "experience credit" — most insurers translate this into significant first-year savings.
You must hold Level 1 + Level 2 for at least 24 months total
Even with approved driver education, the full graduated licensing program is a minimum of 24 months from learner to full Class 5 licence.
Zero blood alcohol while in the graduated program
Level 1 and Level 2 drivers must have a 0.00 blood alcohol concentration whenever driving. This is law, not a guideline.
